Volleyball Recap: Shadow Hills Takes a Loss

Shadow Hills lost against Coachella Valley back in September of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Knights fell 3-1 to the Mighty Arabs. While the Knights didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Mighty Arabs 25-21 in the first set.

Shadow Hills started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. The match finished with set scores of 21-25, 25-18, 25-19, 25-18.

Makayla Rivera was the offensive standout of the match as she had nine digs and three aces. That's the most aces she has posted over her last six contests.

Shadow Hills' defeat dropped their record down to 5-4. As for Coachella Valley, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five games. That's provided a nice bump to their 7-2 record this season.

Shadow Hills has already played their next matchup, a 3-0 loss against Hemet on the 27th. As for Coachella Valley, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-1 win against La Quinta on the 27th.
