Basketball Recap: Bethany Community Comes Up Short

Bethany Community was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their 12th straight defeat. They were beaten by the Carver Yellowjackets 85-41. If the Wolves were looking for revenge after losing 86-39 to them when the teams met, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Carver found their leader in sophomore Tiquan March, who went 9 of 15 en route to 23 points and five boards. Those 23 points set a new season-high mark for March. The team also got some help courtesy of Quinton Stone, who posted ten points in addition to six assists and five rebounds.

Bethany Community's loss dropped their record down to 3-15. As for Carver, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 8-6.

Bethany Community wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 43-32 defeat against Gray Stone Day on the 16th. Carver has also already played their next game, a 61-36 loss against Bishop McGuinness on the 17th.
