Cherry Creek dropped down to 9-4 on Tuesday, ending the team's six-game streak of wins. They lost 33-7 to the Grandview Wolves. The defensive woes were uncharacteristic for the Bruins, who until this game were averaging 13.69 points allowed.

Even if they lost, Cherry Creek's defensive line still kept up the pressure with three sacks. The team can thank three different players for their defensive prowess: Cambelle Metcalf, Rachael McPhee, and Katie Lee, who each picked up one sack apiece. Cherry Creek got some further help from Emerson Terry: she made seven total tackles and defended one pass in addition to snagging an interception.

As for Grandview, the win was the tenth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 11-3. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 35.2 points over those games.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Grandview to victory, but perhaps none more so than K'Dence Thomas, who picked up 48 receiving yards and a pair of TDs. Another big playmaker for the Wolves was Abby Kirkpatrick, who returned a punt for a touchdown.
