Edgewater proved they can win big on Monday (they won by seven) and on Wednesday they proved they can win the close ones too. They won by a run and slipped past the Olympia Titans 3-2. This was payback for the Eagles, who suffered a 7-4 loss the last time these two teams met.

Wyatt Schmidt tossed a big game, tossing six innings while giving up just two earned runs off six hits.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Bryson Nicol, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI. He is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last three games he's played.

Edgewater's record is now 3-6-1. As for Olympia, their defeat ended a four-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 7-4.

Coming up, Edgewater will host New Smyrna Beach at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Olympia, they will head out on the road to square off against St. Cloud at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
