Recap: Castle View Sabercats vs. Legend Titans
The Castle View Sabercats struggled with assists on Tuesday (the Legend Titans had 13 more) and sadly the final score reflected it. Castle View took a 61-54 hit to the loss column at the hands of Legend. Castle View has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Castle View's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Vitorio Dante, who scored 24 points along with six rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Dante has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Blake Graham, who scored 13 points.
Legend's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Carson Flowers led the charge by scoring 21 points. Gavin Whitehead was another key contributor, scoring eight points along with seven assists and six rebounds.
Castle View has traveled a rocky road recently having lost six of their last seven matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 11-9 record this season. As for Legend, their victory bumped their record up to an identical 11-9.
Castle View will head out on the road to face off against Rock Canyon at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Hopefully Rock Canyon focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 12 on Tuesday. As for Legend, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Highlands Ranch at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. One thing working in Legend's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last five games.
