Baseball Recap: Rolesville Victorious

Rolesville came out on top against Willow Spring on Wednesday thanks in part to the team's impressive six-run seventh inning. The Rams had just enough and edged out the Storm 7-6. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Rams have posted since April 16, 2025.

The team relied heavily on Deacon Hensley, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run. Addison Corbitt also deserves some recognition as he scored his first run of the season.

The win made it two in a row for Rolesville and bumps their season record up to 6-12. That said, the team wasn't facing the toughest opposition over that stretch, as it included 5-13 Athens Drive and 8-13 Willow Spring. As for Willow Spring, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost five of their last six contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 8-13 record this season.

Rolesville will head out to take on Athens Drive at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Willow Spring, they will take on Apex Friendship at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
