Softball Recap: St. Martin Comes Up Short

St. Martin and Northwest Rankin squared off in some playoff action on Friday, but St. Martin had to settle for second. They came up short against the Cougars, falling 14-0. The Yellow Jackets' loss continues a trend for the squad, making it three in a row.

St. Martin now has a losing record of 12-13. As for Northwest Rankin, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 26-4.

St. Martin does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Northwest Rankin, they will face off against Brandon at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Cougars 2, the Bulldogs 3.7) so any runs scored will be well earned.
