Volleyball Game Preview: Winter Park Wildcats vs. Freedom Patriots

The Winter Park Wildcats will be taking part in a tournament against the Freedom Patriots at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday. Both come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

It was a proper cat-fight when Winter Park faced off against Lake Nona on Friday. The Wildcats came out on top against the Lions by a score of 2-0.

Meanwhile, Freedom entered their tilt with Cypress Creek on Friday with ten consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with 11. They walked away with a 2-0 win over the Bears.

Freedom didn't let Cypress Creek take a single set, but it sure wasn't easy: every set was decided by three points or less. The match finished with set scores of 25-23, 25-22.

Winter Park's victory bumped their record up to 11-4. As for Freedom, they pushed their record up to 16-3 with the win, which was their fourth straight on the road.

Winter Park beat Freedom 2-0 in their previous matchup back in April of 2024. Will the Wildcats repeat their success, or do the Patriots have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
