Baseball Recap: Aransas Pass Comes Up Short

Aransas Pass lost against Mathis back in March, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Panthers took a 7-3 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Pirates.

Aransas Pass has also been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-12-1 record this season. As for Mathis, their victory ended a six-game drought at home and bumped them up to 7-14.

Coming up, Aransas Pass will challenge West Oso at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. The Panthers' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Bears have averaged an impressive 7.6 runs per game this season. As for Mathis, they will take on Calhoun at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
