Gridley came tearing into Saturday's match with three straight wins , and they left with even more momentum. They came out on top against the Red Bluff Spartans by a score of 2-0. That's more bragging rights for the Bulldogs, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Their offense was headlined by Avery Mendenhall and Yalany Romo, who picked up five kills apiece. They got some help from Isabel Santillan and her 18 assists. Finally, Kambelle Tolman kept Gridley's defense grounded, leading the team with six blocks.

Gridley's victory bumped their record up to 4-0. As for Red Bluff, they are on a five-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-4.

Gridley didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 2-0 loss against East Nicolaus on the 23rd. Red Bluff has also already played their next contest (against Shasta), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
