Soccer Recap: Salem's Run of Four Straight Wins Now Over

If Salem was feeling good fresh off their 5-1 takedown of Pulaski County on Wednesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Spartans fell just short of the Patrick Henry Patriots by a score of 2-1 on Friday. While losing is never fun, Salem can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Virginia soccer rankings (they are ranked 34th, while Patrick Henry are ranked fifth).

Salem's goal came courtesy of Anthony Rugama, who's now up to 15 this season.
