Recap: Jackson South Side Hawks vs. Munford Cougars
The Jackson South Side Hawks have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won five matches by 26 points or more this season. They simply couldn't be stopped on Tuesday as they easily beat Munford 61-34 at home. That's another feather in the cap for Jackson South Side, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.
Jackson South Side got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Aydison Dilworth out in front who scored 20 points along with six rebounds. Those six rebounds set a new season-high mark for Dilworth. Another player making a difference was Ri'Kiya Mitchell, who scored 15 points along with eight rebounds.
Jackson South Side's win was their 14th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 7-3. They've been dominating during the contests in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 36.57 points. As for Munford, they have traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost four of their last five games, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-5 record this season.
Jackson South Side will be home for the holidays to greet Haywood at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully Haywood focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 17 last Friday. Munford will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Northpoint Christian at 3:00 p.m. on December 28th.
