Volleyball Game Preview: Bear Creek Bruins vs. Kimball Jaguars

After both having extra time off, the Bear Creek Bruins and the Kimball Jaguars will shake off the cobwebs and hit the court against one another at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Both come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Bear Creek will bounce into Tuesday's contest after beating McNair, who they had gone 0-9 against in their nine prior meetings. The Bruins had just enough and edged out the Eagles 3-2. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Bruins have posted since February 25th.

It was an exciting match in which no team won back-to-back sets, but at the end of the day Bear Creek got the one that really mattered. The final score came out to 25-18, 18-25, 25-21, 21-25, 15-9.

Meanwhile, Kimball was able to grind out a solid victory over Lodi on Tuesday, taking the game 3-1.

The win didn't come easy: Lodi scored at least 18 points in every set. The match finished with set scores of 25-18, 28-26, 12-25, 25-20.

Bear Creek is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last eight games. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-11 record this season. As for Kimball, their victory ended a four-game drought at home and bumped them up to 4-15.

Bear Creek beat Kimball 3-1 when the teams last played on April 4th. Will the Bruins repeat their success, or do the Jaguars have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
