Soccer Game Preview: Pearl vs. Florence

The Pearl Pirates are taking a road trip to face off against the Florence Eagles at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Neither squad made it on the board the last time they hit the pitch, so they've probably got a bit of extra motivation.

On Tuesday, Pearl and Germantown finished up their contest with a 0-0 draw.

Meanwhile, Florence came up short against Warren Central on Tuesday and fell 3-1.

Pearl's draw makes their record 1-0-2 this season. As for Florence, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-2.

Pearl was able to grind out a solid victory over Florence when the teams last played back in January of 2024, winning 3-1. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Pirates since the team won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
