Soccer Recap: Sylvania Comes Up Short

Sylvania fought the good fight in their overtime matchup against Geraldine on Tuesday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Geraldine Bulldogs by a score of 3-2. The Rams were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Bulldogs earlier this season, when they won 7-4.

Sylvania's defeat dropped their record down to 4-3. As for Geraldine, with the win, they broke their three-game losing streak and moved their record to 4-6-2.

The future could be bright for both Sylvania and Geraldine: their next opponents haven't had the best luck recently. Sylvania will try to hand North Jackson their fourth-straight loss when the two meet at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Geraldine will look to extend Whitesburg Christian Academy's three-game losing streak when they meet at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
