Baseball Recap: Redwood Giants vs. San Marin Mustangs

It may have taken eight innings to finish the job, but Redwood ultimately got the result they hoped for on Friday. They had just enough and edged the San Marin Mustangs out 6-5. The victory was nothing new for Redwood as they're now sitting on five straight.

Rex Solle made a splash while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, striking out eight batters over five innings while giving up three earned runs off only one hit. Solle has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than one hit in three consecutive pitching appearances. Solle was also solid in the batter's box, scoring a run while going 2-for-4.
