Baseball Recap: Thorndale Wins Going Away Against Hamilton

While Thorndale put up plenty of runs on Thursday, the same can't be said for Hamilton. Everything went Thorndale's way against Hamilton as Thorndale made off with a 20-0 victory. Thorndale might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won three games by seven runs or more this season.

Jaxson Eschberger was a major factor no matter where he played. On the mound, he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit while striking out ten over five innings pitched. Eschberger was also solid in the batter's box, scoring two runs while getting on base in two of his five plate appearances.

In other batting news, Brenson Beran was a standout: he scored two runs and stole Two bases. while getting on base in all five of his plate appearances. Those stolen bases were his first of the season. Another player making a difference was Gunner Ferguson, who scored two runs and stole Two bases. while getting on base in four of his five plate appearances.

Thorndale always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .571. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Hamilton only posted an OBP of .261.

The win made it two in a row for Thorndale and bumps their season record up to 5-1. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 15 runs. As for Hamilton, they now have a losing record of 3-4.

Coincidentally, Thorndale and Hamilton will both be playing Cross Roads the next time they take the field. Thorndale will head out to face Cross Roads at 1:30 p.m. on Thursday, while Hamilton will play them later in the day, at 4:00 p.m.
