Wooster had already won six in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 4 goals) and they went ahead and made it seven on Saturday. They came within a single goal of losing the streak, but they secured a 2-1 W against the Damonte Ranch Mustangs. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Wooster also won the last time the pair played back in October of 2024.

Jiovanni Villa and Aiden Botello scored both of Wooster's goals, bringing their combined season tally to five goals.

Wooster's victory bumped their record up to 7-2-1. As for Damonte Ranch, they moved to 8-2-1 with that loss, which also ended their six-game winning streak.

Wooster and Damonte Ranch should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps Nevada Rankings. The Colts (ranked 13th) will meet Galena (ranked 64th) on Wednesday. Meanwhile, Damonte Ranch will take on Douglas at 12:30 p.m. on Saturday with a big rank advantage (17 vs. 69).
