Baseball Recap: Mobile Christian Takes a Loss

Mobile Christian was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They lost 12-2 to the Baker Hornets. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Leopards of the 1-0 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in February of 2020.

Noah Blackburn was cooking despite his team's loss, going 2-for-3 with one home run, two runs, and one double. The dominant performance gave him a new career-high in hits. Brayden Page was another key player, going a perfect 2-for-2 with one double.

Mobile Christian's defeat dropped their record down to 4-12. As for Baker, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 5-6.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Mobile Christian will face off against McGill-Toolen at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for Baker, they will take on Daphne at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
