Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Newmarket walked away with it. They simply couldn't be stopped on Monday as they easily beat the Franklin Tornadoes 52-23. The Mules have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won nine matches by 21 points or more this season.

Newmarket is on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last ten games. That's provided a nice bump to their 17-4 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 54.1 points over those games. Franklin is on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 9-10.

Coming up, Newmarket will square off against Gorham on Thursday. Both teams are coming into the contest red-hot, with Gorham sitting on eight straight victories and Newmarket on three. Franklin does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
