Softball Recap: Albemarle Comes Up Short

Albemarle was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They lost 18-3 to the Gray Stone Day Knights. If the Bulldogs were looking for revenge after losing 15-0 to the Knights when the teams met back in April of 2023, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Albemarle's defeat dropped their record down to 1-9. As for Gray Stone Day, with the victory, they broke their five-game losing streak and moved their record to 4-10.

Looking ahead, Albemarle will take on South Stanly at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Gray Stone Day will be paying especially close attention to the Bulldogs' match: after the Bulldogs faces off against the Rowdy Rebel Bulls, they'll take on Gray Stone Day again at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
