Softball Game Preview: Plantation Colonels vs. McArthur Mustangs

After both having extra time off, the Plantation Colonels and the McArthur Mustangs will shake off the rust and duke it out at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The two teams are sauntering into the matchup backed by comfortable wins in their prior games.

Plantation took a loss when they played away from home two weeks ago, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed last Tuesday. They put the hurt on Northeast with a sharp 20-4 win. Considering the Colonels' hitters had been struggling lately, the high-scoring outing was a much-needed turnaround.

Meanwhile, McArthur made easy work of Everglades two weeks ago and carried off a 13-4 victory. The win continues a trend for the Mustangs in their matchups with the Gators: they've now won three in a row.

Plantation's victory bumped their record up to 6-3. As for McArthur, they now have a winning record of 4-3.

Plantation skirted past McArthur 12-10 when the teams last played back in March of 2024. The rematch might be a little tougher for Plantation since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
