Softball Game Preview: Penn Yan Academy Mustangs vs. Clyde-Savannah Golden Eagles

The Penn Yan Academy Mustangs will head out on the road to square off against the Clyde-Savannah Golden Eagles at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.

Wednesday just wasn't the day for Penn Yan Academy's offense. They came up short against Bloomfield on Wednesday, falling 14-0.

Clyde-Savannah hadn't beaten East Rochester on the road since May 5, 2022 but that history sure didn't bother them on Wednesday. The Golden Eagles blew past the Bombers 17-8. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Golden Eagles.

Larissa Walters was incredible, scoring four runs and stealing two bases while going 3-for-5. The dominant performance also gave her a new career-high in RBI (three). Another player making a difference was Rori Hickok, who scored a run while going 3-for-4.

Clyde-Savannah now has a winning record of 2-1. As for Penn Yan Academy, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-2.
