Volleyball Recap: Fayette County Gets the Win

The Fayette County Tigers earned a 2-0 victory over the Lithonia Bulldogs on Wednesday. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Tigers.

The 2-0 score doesn't show just how dominant Fayette County was: they took both sets by at least 14 points. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-11, 25-10.

Fatima Cesaire paced Fayette County's offense, picking up three kills. Cesaire got some help from Brooke Logan-James and her four assists. Makaila Foster controlled things from the service line, finishing with six aces.

Fayette County's win bumped their record up to 8-6. As for Lithonia, they are on a five-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-4.

Fayette County has already played their next contest, a 2-0 victory against Strong Rock Christian on the 23rd. As for Lithonia, they will host Stephenson at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
