Recap: Bishop Carroll Golden Eagles vs. Kapaun Mt. Carmel Crusaders
The Bishop Carroll Golden Eagles's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their third straight defeat. They took a 72-59 hit to the loss column at the hands of Kapaun Mt. Carmel. Bishop Carroll has not had much luck with Kapaun Mt. Carmel recently, as the team's come up short the last five times they've met.
Several Golden Eagles players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Mikey Brand, who scored 21 points along with three steals and two blocks. John Hauserman was another key contributor, scoring 13 points along with five rebounds.
Bishop Carroll has not been sharp recently as the team has lost four of their last five matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-12 record this season. As for Kapaun Mt. Carmel, the win was the eighth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 16-1.
Bishop Carroll will head out on the road to challenge Heights at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Kapaun Mt. Carmel, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Southeast on Tuesday. Kapaun Mt. Carmel has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 1,147 points over their last 17 matches.
