Richmond Hill hasn't had much luck against Springfield Gardens recently, but that could start to change on Thursday. The Richmond Hill Lions will take on the Springfield Gardens Golden Eagles at 4:30 p.m. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this game.

Richmond Hill is headed into Thursday's matchup looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their tenth straight game dating back to last season on Tuesday. They had to suffer through a 44-17 loss at the hands of Far Rockaway.

Meanwhile, Springfield Gardens was not able to break out of their rough patch back in December of 2024 as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They were five points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 37-32 heartbreaker at the hands of Far Rockaway.

Springfield Gardens' defeat dropped their record down to 2-4. As for Richmond Hill, their loss dropped their record down to 0-7.

Richmond Hill might still be hurting after the 41-20 defeat they got from Springfield Gardens in their previous matchup back in December of 2024. Can Richmond Hill avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
