Recap: Charles Page Sandites vs. Enid Plainsmen
The Charles Page Sandites's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their seventh straight loss dating back to last season. They took a 63-58 hit to the loss column at the hands of Enid. Charles Page was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Enid apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in February of 2020.
Despite the loss, Charles Page still got an impressive performance from Deke Thompson, who scored 16 points along with seven rebounds. The game was Thompson's third in a row with at least ten points. Kason Evans was another key contributor, scoring 13 points along with seven rebounds.
Charles Page bumped their record down to 0-3 with that loss, which was their sixth straight on the road dating back to last season. As for Enid, the victory got them back to even at 1-1.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Charles Page will take on Putnam City at 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Enid, they will stay at home for another game and welcome Union on December 7th. Union presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Enid in Oklahoma (Union is ranked 54th, while Enid is ranked 223rd).
