Softball Recap: Grayson County Has No Trouble Against Eastern Montgomery

Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Grayson County walked away with it. They were the clear victors by a 16-3 margin over the Eastern Montgomery Mustangs on Wednesday. The result was nothing new for the Blue Devils, who have now won nine contests by six runs or more so far this season.

Grayson County has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-6 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.0 runs on average over those games. As for Eastern Montgomery, their loss ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 16-7.

Looking ahead, Grayson County will take on Giles at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. The Blue Devils' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Spartans have averaged an impressive 6.9 runs per game this season. Eastern Montgomery does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
