The O'Connell Buccaneers have the luxury of staying home another game and will welcome the Frassati Catholic Falcons at 6:00 p.m. on December 19th. One thing working in O'Connell's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last five contests.
Last Friday, O'Connell humbled Chinquapin with a 96-12 victory. For those curious, yes, that was the biggest victory O'Connell has managed all season.
Jarrius Smith and Derrick Kirks jr were among the main playmakers for O'Connell as the former dropped a double-double on 30 points and 21 rebounds and the latter dropped a triple-double on 38 points, 11 assists, and ten steals. That makes it six consecutive games in which Kirks jr has scored at least 25% of O'Connell's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Lonndon Beal, who scored 18 points along with five assists and four steals.
Meanwhile, Frassati Catholic's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their sixth straight loss. The game between Frassati Catholic and Founders Christian wasn't particularly close, with Frassati Catholic falling 65-49.
O'Connell is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matches, which provided a massive bump to their 8-6 record this season. As for Frassati Catholic, their loss dropped their record down to 2-7.
