Baseball Game Preview: Elder Panthers vs. Summit Country Day Silver Knights

Elder is a perfect 4-0 against Summit Country Day since May of 2022 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Monday. The Panthers will be playing in front of their home fans against the Silver Knights at 5:00 p.m. Both come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Elder came out on top against Colerain on Saturday thanks in part to the team's impressive four-run first inning. The Panthers took their matchup against the Cardinals 8-4. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Panthers.

Brady Andriacco looked comfortable as he didn't allow a single earned run over four innings pitched. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in three consecutive appearances.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Dylan Wullenweber, who went 1-for-4 with four RBI and two runs. Those four RBI gave him a new career-high. Jared Lammers was another key player, going 2-for-4 with one stolen base, one run, and one double.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Summit Country Day, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Wednesday. They came out on top against Cincinnati Hills Christian Academy by a score of 5-2 on Thursday. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last three times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.

Elder's victory bumped their record up to 13-10. As for Summit Country Day, their win bumped their record up to 20-5.

Elder got the 'W' in their previous meeting back in May of 2025 against Summit Country Day by a conclusive 13-4 score. Will the Panthers repeat their success, or do the Silver Knights have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
