Soccer Game Preview: Greenville vs. Sherman

A feisty cat fight is on tap when the Greenville challenge the Sherman at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday... Greenville's offense has struggled lately (the team hasn't scored more than a single goal for ten straight games), a trend the team is no doubt ready to end.

Greenville fell victim to Walnut Grove and their airtight defense on Friday. They lost 11-0 to the Wildcats. While losing is never fun, the Lions can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas soccer rankings (they are ranked 593rd, while the Wildcats are ranked 13th).

Meanwhile, for the first time this season, Sherman was forced to settle for a draw. Neither they nor Melissa could gain the upper hand on Friday so the two teams had to settle for a 0-0 draw.

Greenville's defeat dropped their record down to 0-9-1. Sherman's draw makes their record 6-4-1 this season.
