Pikesville proved they can win big last Monday (they won by nine) and on Tuesday they proved they can win the close ones too. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Franklin Indians, sneaking past 10-8. The victory continues a trend for the Panthers in their matchups with the Indians: they've now won three in a row.

Spencer Evans and Isaac Garonzik made a splash no matter where they played. On the mound, Evans pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Meanwhile, Garonzik tossed one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. Those zero hits allowed gave Evans a new career-low. At the plate, Evans scored a run and stole a base while getting on base in three of his five plate appearances, while Garonzik scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-5. What's more, Garonzik posted three RBI, the most he's had since back in March of 2024.

In other batting news, Karron Gamble was a standout: he scored three runs and stole a base while going 2-for-2. The team also got some help courtesy of Ethan Holaday, who scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-5.

Pikesville's win bumped their record up to 2-0.
