After a string of 13 wins, Providence Christian's good fortune finally ran out on Monday. They took a 54-47 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Dothan Wolves. While losing is never fun, the Eagles can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Alabama basketball rankings (they are ranked 66th, while the Wolves are ranked fourth).

Providence Christian's defeat dropped their record down to 13-2. As for Dothan, the victory (which was their ninth in a row) raised their record to 17-1.

Providence Christian and Eufaula will face off at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday without much rest having both just played. One thing working in Eufaula's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last four games. As for Dothan, they and Houston Academy will face off at 12:00 p.m. on Tuesday without much rest having both just played. Houston Academy knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past seven matchups -- so hopefully Dothan likes a good challenge.
