Basketball Recap: Oconto Falls Comes Up Short

Oconto Falls was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They fell 47-38 to the Marinette Marines. While losing is never fun, the Panthers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Wisconsin basketball rankings (they are ranked 334th, while the Marines are ranked 127th).

Oconto Falls' loss dropped their record down to 6-13. As for Marinette, the win (which was their tenth in a row) raised their record to 16-4.

Looking ahead, Oconto Falls will take on Waupaca at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Marinette, they will head out on the road to challenge Denmark at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
