It may have taken eight innings to finish the job, but Forsyth Home Educators ultimately got the result they hoped for on Thursday. They had just enough and edged out the Charlotte S Stampede 6-4. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Hawks have posted since April 15, 2024.

Skyler Faircloth looked comfortable as he pitched three innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two walks in seven consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Caleb Petusky was excellent, going 2-for-3 with two RBI, one run, and one double. That's the most RBI he has posted since back in March of 2024. Another player making a difference was Larson Stem, who went 3-for-4 with three runs.

The win made it two in a row for Forsyth Home Educators and bumps their season record up to 16-7-1. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 6.5 runs over those games. As for Charlotte S, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 14-14.

As of now, neither Forsyth Home Educators nor the Stampede have any future games scheduled.
