It's playoff time, and King's Academy had no trouble coming through when it counted. They strolled past the Sacred Heart Prep Gators with points to spare on Thursday, taking the game 64-50. Given the Knights' advantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 49th, while the Gators are ranked 151st), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Despite the defeat, Sacred Heart Prep had strong showings from Alex Osterloh, who posted 18 points, and Alex Straser, who went 5-for-11 to rack up 14 points.

King's Academy is on a roll lately: they've won 15 of their last 16 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 22-4 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 70.1 points over those games. The loss snapped Sacred Heart Prep's winning streak at three games and leaves them with a 16-10 record.
