Softball Recap: Make It Four in a Row for Louisa-Muscatine

Louisa-Muscatine got themselves on the board against Columbus on Thursday, but Columbus never followed suit. They were the clear victors by a 10-0 margin over the Wildcats. Considering the Falcons have won 11 games by more than five runs this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.

The win (which was Louisa-Muscatine's fourth in a row) raised their record to 13-2. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 0.8 runs on average over those games. As for Columbus, their defeat was their first in the conference, dropping their conference record down to 3-1 and their overall record down to 5-4.

Louisa-Muscatine has already played their next matchup, a 13-5 win against Hillcrest Academy on the 13th. As for Columbus, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 6-3 loss against Pekin on the 13th.
