Preview: Glassboro Bulldogs vs. Schalick Cougars
Glassboro is 5-0 against Schalick since September of 2014, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Friday. The Glassboro Bulldogs will head out on the road to face off against the Schalick Cougars at 7:00 p.m. Both teams are coming into the game red-hot, with Glassboro sitting on five straight wins and Schalick on 11.
With a playoff game on the line, Glassboro rose to the challenge on Friday. Everything went their way against South Hunterdon as Glassboro made off with a 20-0 victory. The result was nothing new for Glassboro, who have now won six matchups by 20 points or more so far this season.
Glassboro can attribute much of their success to Amari Sabb, who rushed for 83 yards and a touchdown on only eight carries, and Dominic Barr, who rushed for 116 yards and two touchdowns.
Meanwhile, Schalick sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 16-14 win over Shore Regional on Friday.
Glassboro has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight contests, which provided a nice bump to their 8-3 record this season. As for Schalick, they pushed their record up to 11-0 with that win, which was their seventh straight at home.
Everything came up roses for Glassboro against Schalick in their previous matchup back in October of 2020 as the team secured a 54-7 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for Glassboro since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
