Baseball Recap: Schalick Extends Road Winning Streak to Six

On Tuesday Schalick's undefeated season almost came to an end. They narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past the Pitman Panthers 4-2. For the Cougars, this counts as revenge for the 6-2 victory the Panthers walked away with the last time they faced one another back in May of 2024.

Luke Pokrovsky made a big impact no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, tossing two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than two walks in three consecutive appearances. He was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-3 with one home run.

Pokrovsky wasn't the only one making solid contact as four players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Evan Glaspey, who went 1-for-2 with one run and one RBI.

Schalick pushed their record up to 11-0 with the win, which was their sixth straight on the road. As for Pitman, their defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 9-5.

Looking ahead, Schalick will venture away from home to take on Glassboro at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Pitman, they will face off against Clayton at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Panthers are facing the Clippers at the right time seeing as the Clippers are stuck on a seven-game losing streak.
