Volleyball Recap: Graham Comes Up Short + How To Watch

Graham lost against Virginia High on October 9th and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The G-Men fell just short of the Bearcats by a score of 3-2. The G-Men have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

Graham actually scored more points across those five sets (103-91), but sadly they still had to settle for second. The match finished with set scores of 9-25, 25-21, 25-23, 17-25, 15-9.

Elise Jacobs paced Graham's offense, picking up 14 kills. Jacobs really made an impact as she also led the team in assists with 18. Kadance Bowman controlled things from the service line, finishing with four aces.

Virginia High's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Cylvia Wohlford, who had ten digs. Those ten digs gave Wohlford a new career-high. Gabbie Monaco also deserves some recognition as she posted her first assists of the season.

Graham's defeat dropped their record down to 8-14. As for Virginia High, their win bumped their record up to 6-18.

As of now, neither Graham nor the Bearcats have any future games scheduled.
