Basketball Recap: Red Bay Now 8-1 over Last Nine Games

Red Bay extended their road winning streak to five games thanks to a huge performance from Khalil Luster. The Red Bay Tigers strolled past the Sulligent Blue Devils with points to spare on Friday, taking the game 67-50 thanks in part to Luster, who went 5 for 10 on his way to 11 points in addition to eight rebounds and five assists. He is on a roll when it comes to boards, as he's now pulled down eight or more in the last four games he's played.

Red Bay is on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 9-3 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 62.3 points per game. As for Sulligent, their loss ended a four-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 3-2.

A feisty cat fight will be fought when the Red Bay Tigers duke it out with the Cullman Bearcats at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday. Cullman will roll in looking for their fifth straight victory, something Red Bay surely won't give up without a fight. As for Sulligent, they and Lexington will face off at 4:30 p.m. on Saturday without much rest having both just played. Lexington has been dominant on offense recently, having racked up an incredible 180 points over their last three contests.
