Camden is 1-9 against Central Valley Academy since January of 2018 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. The Camden Blue Devils will look to defend their home court against the Central Valley Academy Thunder at 6:30 p.m. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, the two teams will really light up the scoreboard.
Camden had to kick off their season on the road on Saturday, but they showed no ill effects. They had just enough and edged Watertown out 63-60.
Meanwhile, Central Valley Academy got the win against South Jefferson on Saturday by a conclusive 61-41.
Deacon Judd was a one-man wrecking crew for Central Valley Academy as he dropped a double-double on 26 points and 11 rebounds. Another player making a difference was Tom Jacquays, who scored 10 points along with 5 assists and 5 steals.
Camden's victory bumped their record up to 1-0. As for Central Valley Academy, their win bumped their record up to an identical 1-0.
Camden was dealt a bruising 76-43 loss at the hands of Central Valley Academy when the teams last played back in February. Thankfully for Camden, Jaylon O'neal (who dropped a double-double on 28 points and 14 rebounds) won't be suiting up this time. Will that be enough to change the final result?
