Football Recap: Dynamic Duo of K'drien MILLER and Da'rai Washington Lead Ardmore to Victory

It was a proper cat-fight when Ardmore faced off against Blanchard on Thursday. The Tigers walked away with a 33-25 victory over the Lions. The win was nothing new for the Tigers as they're now sitting on three straight.

Leading Ardmore to victory were Da'Rai Washington and K'DRIEN MILLER. Washington rushed for 104 yards and two scores, while MILLER rushed for 91 yards on only 12 carries.

They were just one part of a punishing run game: Ardmore was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 347 rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now rushed for at least 263 rushing yards in three consecutive games.

Blanchard's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Noah Smith, who threw for 228 yards and one touchdown, and Cole Watkins, who picked up 114 receiving yards and one TD. Watkins' receiving production has been exceptional recently as that marked his third straight game with at least 114 receiving yards.

Ardmore now has a winning record of 4-3. As for Blanchard, they dropped their record down to 3-4 with the loss, which was their fourth straight on the road.

Coming up, Ardmore will head out to face off against Bethany at 7:00 p.m. on the 24th. The two teams might be coming in a bit winded given these two teams combined for 893 yards in their previous games. As for Blanchard, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Tuttle at 7:00 p.m. on the 24th. The Lions will need to watch out since the Tigers have now posted at least 31 points every time they've taken the field this season.
