Softball Recap: Evansville Central Takes a Loss

Evansville Central came into their game on Monday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They lost 19-4 to the Tecumseh Braves. The Bears have struggled against the Braves recently, as the game was their ninth consecutive lost meeting.

Lauren Lowe was cooking despite her team's loss, going 2-for-3 with two doubles, one stolen base, and two RBI. Another player making a difference was Danika Dix, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one stolen base and one run.

Evansville Central's loss dropped their record down to 3-3. As for Tecumseh, they pushed their record up to 7-1 with the victory, which was their 12th straight on the road dating back to last season.

Evansville Central has already played their next contest, a 6-1 defeat against Evansville Mater Dei on the 22nd. As for Tecumseh, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next match, an 8-0 loss against Henderson County on the 23rd.
