Thomson found their leader in underclassman Dalysa Gilmore, who dropped a double-double on 16 points and 12 rebounds. Meanwhile, Sumter County unfortunately witnessed the end of their seven-game winning streak on Friday. They took a 57-39 bruising from Dodge County.

Thomson's victory bumped their record up to 22-4. As for Sumter County, their defeat ended a six-game streak of away wins and brought them to 19-8.
