Baseball Recap: Irrigon Picks Up Fifth Consecutive Victory

Irrigon had already won four in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 4.3 runs) and they went ahead and made it five on Tuesday. They never let the Sherman Huskies get on the board and left with a 10-0 victory. The Knights might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won eight games by six runs or more this season.

The team relied heavily on Brock Locey, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with three stolen bases, two runs, and one double. Kodi Maris was another key player, going a perfect 2-for-2 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run.

Irrigon's win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 14-5. The home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.0 runs over those games. As for Sherman, their loss dropped their record down to 8-8.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Irrigon will take on Enterprise/Joseph at 4:00 p.m. on the 21st. As for Sherman, they will face off against Grant Union at 1:00 p.m. on Friday.
