Softball Recap: Chapel Hill Takes a Loss

Chapel Hill was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They came up short against the New Diana Eagles, falling 15-4. That's two games in a row now that the Red Devils have lost by exactly 11 runs.

Aubree Norfleet was cooking despite her team's loss, going 2-for-3 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI. That home run was her first of the season. Molly Brady was another key player, going 1-for-3 with one home run and two RBI.

Norfleet wasn't the only one working in the home run department: Chapel Hill lost a few balls and finished the game with two home runs. That's the most home runs they've managed all season.

Chapel Hill's loss dropped their record down to 3-9. As for New Diana, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won nine of their last ten contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-6-1 record this season.

Chapel Hill will venture away from home to take on Harmony at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for New Diana, they will welcome Hughes Springs at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Hughes Springs will roll in looking for their 13th straight victory, something New Diana surely won't give up without a fight.
