Baseball Recap: Cole Comes Up Short

Cole lost to Holy Cross back in February of 2025 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Cougars fell just short of the Knights by a score of 4-3. The Cougars' defeat continues a trend for the squad, making it four in a row.

Carson Kay made the most of his time in the batter's box despite the final result and went 2-for-4 with one triple, one stolen base, and two RBI. He has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last four times he's played. Another player making a difference was Tristan Zedhikeia, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with one stolen base and one run.

Cole's record now sits at 1-4. As for Holy Cross, with the win, they broke their seven-game losing streak and moved their record to 2-7.

Looking ahead, Cole will square off against John Paul II at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. The Cougars will need to watch out since the Guardians have now posted at least ten runs in their last four games. As for Holy Cross, they will take on Somerset at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
