Basketball Recap: Rushford-Peterson Picks Up Sixth Consecutive Victory

Rushford-Peterson won the last time they faced Chatfield and things went their way on Friday too. The Rushford-Peterson Trojans put the hurt on the Chatfield Gophers with a sharp 77-52 win. The Trojans have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won five contests by 25 points or more this season.

The victory (which was Rushford-Peterson's sixth in a row) raised their record to 7-1. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 78.0 points per game. As for Chatfield, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-4.

Rushford-Peterson and Fillmore Central will round out the year against one another at at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in Rushford-Peterson's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points every time they've taken the court this season. As for Chatfield, they won't have much time to rest: their next match is against North Fayette Valley at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday. North Fayette Valley will roll in looking for their seventh straight win, something Chatfield surely won't give up without a fight.
