While Manchester's win against Monacan wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Lancers had just enough and edged out the Chiefs 2-1 on Thursday. The Lancers haven't had any issues with the Chiefs recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive victory against them.

Cam Winiarski spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered a run (which was unearned) on two hits and racked up 15 Ks. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than two walks in seven consecutive appearances.

Manchester's win bumped their record up to 5-3. As for Monacan, they dropped their record down to 0-4 with the defeat, which was their fourth straight on the road dating back to last season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Manchester will head out to face off against Cosby at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Monacan, they will venture away from home to challenge Amelia County at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.
